Photographer and visual artist Marjon Hoogervorst presents her work alongside that of her son and daughter, Milan and Melle Mae, in a unique trio exhibition.

Marjon works with cyanotype in an untraditional way, pushing the boundaries of this historic photographic process. Her 2D images emerge through a sensitive interplay of light, material, and time—guided by a deep awareness of both what is visible and what unfolds beneath the surface. The result is a layered visual language that feels both tactile and introspective.

Marjon presents 'Inner Child' at the 'De Kunst 10 Daagse' (Art 10 Days) in Bergen. Inner Child is an invitation to make space for wonder, playfulness, and the child within us all.

On display at Blooming Gallery is a fine art print of an original cyanotype titled 'Happiness' ('Geluk'). It explores the extent to which we can shape our own experience of happiness, to what level do we have influence over it? This print is part of the 'LICHT KRACHT de blauwdruk van systemische wijsheid' which she recently co-created and published with systemic coach Kim Hovenkamp.

In contrast, Milan (2008) explores the world in 3D. His playful, tactile smiley sculptures arise from experimentation with materials and an intuitive creative process—each piece a distinct expression of spontaneity and character.

Milan taught his little sister these techniques, which gave rise to her heart blocks. During an exhibition at Blooming Gallery in Bergen, Melle Mae (2014) won the prize for up-and-coming talent among the children.

In the summer of 2026, their works will be on display for the first time in a lively, creative dialogue at Amsterdam Artspace—a place where two perspectives, two generations, and two dimensions converge.
